98 project winners in the “Absolute Help” charity competition to receive support to the tune of 300 million roubles

The winners of the first grants competition of the year organised by the “Absolute Help” charity were announced on 9 July.

There was no particular theme for the competition. Instead, it was open to organisations that offer assistance to “Absolute Help’s” target groups such as children with disabilities and their families, orphaned children and young adults with mental illnesses who require help with socialisation and assisted-living arrangements.

555 applications were submitted, a record for “Absolute Help”. These included 397 from 64 Russian regions, with 98 winners chosen overall by an independent commission.

“The winning projects are aimed at broadening target audiences and scaling-up methodologies and sustainable development, involving the use of digital technologies and online formats. Projects will concentrate on social adaptation, rehab, assisted-living, sport and physical activity, promoting the value of mentoring, helping foster families, the creation of resource classes, education and awareness-raising activities and developing an accessible environment. We look forward to a fruitful collaborative partnership and equally successful results”, said Natalya Polyakova, Executive Director at “Absolute Help”.

Among the winners were the Vikhod charity for a project that deals with problems of autism, the Volunteers to Help Orphans charity, the Faith charity for providing help to hospices, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre, the Centre for Therapeutic Pedagogy and the Spina Bifida charity.
